‘Beef,’ as it’s known colloquially, has become an integral part of Music over the years, with some of the biggest and most well-known rappers of all time finding themselves embroiled in controversy because of a comment they made or a lyric or song they wrote.
Legends like Tupac Shakur vs Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z vs Nas, Ice Cube vs NWA and 50 Cent vs Kanye West and locally we did witness the likes of Ex-Doe vs Chicago, Sammini vs Shatta Wale, Sarkodie vs M.anifest, Yaa Pono vs Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy vs Shatta Wale have all found themselves feuding with fellow rappers or former friends at some point in their careers. However, many of these so-called ‘beefs’ lead rappers to write ‘diss tracks,’ songs aimed at disparaging a person or group, and often these tracks become some of their most influential and popular songs that gets them to relevancy in the music scene.
Beef is necessary to weed out those who can’t handle the rap game. For as long as rap and Music have been around, rappers/musician have had reasons to feud, now let’s take a trip to Madina a.k.a Mad City clearly as the name sounds there is no need for introduction.
So B-Cross (a.k.a Madina Messiah) against Sika Kwame (a.k.a Fre Me Sika) feud is no news to the music fraternity. These two artist raise to each other’s throat in a What-app group called (Madcity Music) When B-Cross mad a profound statement:
“we are talking about this show on TV Africa today @ 4pm…Don’t act blind….Some of you dey fool in this group too much ….Siaaasem akwa"
And as the saying goes “who the cup fit let them wear it” So Sika Kwame thinks the cup fits him and responded with audio message, then later responded with chat messages.
This back and forth conversation have been heating up for the pasts two days.
Part 1 just ended….to be continue
All this is good for showbiz but let’s see it in your music works.
